Junction Five is an explosive alternative rock band based out of Rochester, NY, recognized for their catchy choruses and memorable melodies. Boasting a large fan list, they have a well established fan base in Rochester and throughout New York State.

They have been described as sounding similar to such bands as Puddle of Mudd, Papa Roach and Taking Back Sunday. Junction Five certainly brings a fiery element to every show – enough to secure opening performances for Creed, Maroon 5, Sponge, Electric Six, Like a Storm, The Tea Party, Pilot Speed, Neverset, Socialburn, Jesus Jones and countless more. They have showcased at the 7th and 8th Annual Millennium Music Conference, the M.E.A.N.Y. FEST 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2009 (NYC) and have received song placement on the A&R Network CD Sampler.

J5 have played at a wide variety of venues including Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, CBGB’s, The Continental NYC, Kenny’s Castaway’s, Crash Mansion NYC, The Elbow Room NYC, Waterstreet Music Hall, The Haunt and many more.

The band has appeared live on WORK TV13’s morning show, The Zone WZNE 94.1FM, WBER 90.5FM and WGCC 90.7FM. The radio campaign launched for Junction Five by The Planetary Group hit radio stations across the country. They debuted in the top 10 on over 20 radio stations – including a #2 peak debut – and have been in rotation on over 70 CMJ reporting college stations as well as independent stations across the US and Canada. J5 also earned airplay on Music Choice and Radio@AOL/Spinner.com thanks to this campaign.

Junction Five saturates the press in full force. Their music has been described by Freetime Magazine as “rich with melody and smart lyrics.” Rochester’s City Newspaper says “…Junction 5 comfortably defies pigeonholing, and sounds good doing so.” On the road in Pennsylvania, a music major told The Centurion, “I was really feeling the smooth melodies.” And Bernard Matthews of the Tune Review had this to say, “Great material, well played and sung with passion. What more can you ask for? How about tix to the next show!”

Not to be outdone by the written press, they’ve managed to take the internet by storm as well. Junction Five has been the featured artist on A2GMusic.com and showcased in the Artist Spotlight on Grokster.com. They were awarded the #2 slot on GigAmerica.com’s “Best of Top Ten” of all time and achieved “track of the day” on mp3.com and IUMA.com. Garageband.com voted J5 #7 best guitar of all time as well as #19 best male vocals of all time.

Solid songwriting, diverse music, and a powerful stage presence are among the many reasons why Junction Five continues to build their fan base throughout New York State and beyond!

In their sophomore album, MissionGlory AlphaVader, Junction Five further proves their capability to delve into more diverse music.  Everything from rock to folk to a little bit of punk, this album really has it all!

The album was such a hit that A2Gmusic.com chose Junction Five as the Featured Artist of February 2003.  They say the choice was easy as the album “0ffers ten well crafted and well produced tracks. The songs are a moody mix of electrified folk and smooth seventies rock can be heard throughout…the music on MissionGlory AlphaVader reveals the band’s above average musicianship and smart songwriting.”

Another well produced and well written album, MissionGlory Alpha Vader is certainly a must-have album!
